The Granary is a semi-detached property tucked away in a corner of a magnificent 35-acre farm in the peaceful Suffolk countryside, roughly a 30-minute drive from the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. You’ll also be approximately seven miles north of Ipswich - the town best known for its coastal lifestyle, maritime history, and foodie culture.
Must-dos include booking a boat trip to sail down the River Orwell, admiring works by Thomas Gainsborough and John Constable at the 16th-century Christchurch Mansion, taking a stroll in one of the lovely parks, and whiling away an evening in one of the buzzy restaurants and bars on the Ipswich waterfront.
The Granary at Retreat East is a two-hour drive from London (by train, it’s just over an hour from Liverpool Street Station to Ipswich Station).
A well-behaved dog is welcome. If you wish to bring a dog it must be mentioned at the time of booking on the booking form and is subject to our conditions of booking.
The accommodation which you're booking is single-storey; you'll find that there are ladder steps up to a galleried room, however planning permission has not been granted for guest use so please respect this.
Children under the aged 12 and under are only allowed to stay during Suffolk school holidays.
