“We had a lovely honeymoon week in Rosemary Cottage. It is a beautiful coy spot with a very restful atmosphere. I enjoyed looking at all the pretty mugs and ceramics. We enjoyed all the delights of Aldeburgh: Strolls along the beach, fresh fish, fish & chips, Adnams, sipping coffee and listening to buskers + plenty of ice cream. We also enjoyed your walk suggestion to Thorpeness and Minsmere”
“What a lovely relaxing break here at Rosemary Cottage. A proper get away from it all, thanks for the wine, cheese and biscuits, nice touch”
“We have had a lovely relaxing break in Aldeburgh and have enjoyed lovely walks, fish and chips, a game of golf and fun on Southwold Pier. Early morning coffee on the beach has been a daily highlight”
“Very relaxing and romantic mid-week break for us two, love the cottage – perfect and very cute. Enjoyed cosy nights in by the fire and drank the red wine. Been to Aldeburgh and Southwold many times before and will be coming back”
At over 500 years old, the cottage is one of the oldest houses in Aldeburgh and is Grade II listed. It has a lovely atmosphere with one double bedroom, a kitchen-dining room with a Rayburn range cooker, a living room with open fire and a small wet room. It is furnished in an eclectic mix of New England and traditional cottage style furniture. Outside this self catering Aldeburgh holiday let is a west-facing garden with mature trees and a lawn with a table and chairs, ideal for catching the afternoon and evening sun. There is a charming summer house and barbecue area for summer evenings.
A small garden at the front of the house (complete with Rosemary bushes!) leads to the front door which opens into the living room.
LIVING ROOM: There’s a two seater leather sofa, a wicker chair and a flat screen TV with built in FreeView/DVD/CD player. An open fire and original beams makes the cottage a cosy retreat for winter breaks.
KITCHEN/DINER: beyond the living room is a lovely cottage kitchen with a Rayburn range cooker, bespoke handmade kitchen units, French dresser, antique pine table and chairs, a fridge with freezer compartment, integrated slimline dishwasher, toaster, and a terracotta pammet floor. A door leads out to the back garden.
WET ROOM: To the side of the kitchen is a small blue-tiled wet room with a shower, w.c. and sink.
Stairs lead from the ground floor between the living room and kitchen-diner to a double bedroom with a white, New England style bed, natural carpeting and original windows overlooking the High Street.
There is a raised garden with a lawn to the rear of the cottage with a table and chairs. There is a summer house and brick built storage building suitable for storing bicycles. This has a built in, charcoal barbecue. On road parking is usually available in nearby side streets.
All prices include bed linen, towels, gas and electricity plus a welcome bottle of wine and biscuits to help you get your break off to a relaxing start.
This self catering Aldeburgh holiday let is equipped with gas central heating throughout, flat-screen TV with built in FreeView/DVD/CD player, gas Rayburn range cooker, fridge with freezer compartment, slimline dishwasher, and microwave. A selection of books, DVDs and games are provided.
