This modern studio apartment, which is disabled compliant, is situated on a raised section of the ground floor. The spacious and light open plan accommodation has a living/dining area with kitchen unit, a defined sleeping area, shower room and ample storage. South-facing windows let the sunshine flood in and there is a west facing balcony for watching the sun go down with a glass of wine. However all windows throughout have been fitted with blackout blinds for that extra better quality of sleep! An allocated parking space right next to the apartment in the adjacent car park makes access simple.
ENTRANCE - The apartment is in a building to recall the form of the original Thorpeness Estate Office. Access is via a step free entrance into a small communal hall with the apartment door leading into a private hallway. Doors from the hallway lead into the shower room and living/dining area.
SHOWER ROOM - A well lit room with tiled walk in shower, basin, WC, heated towel rail and illuminated cabinet with shaver socket.
KITCHENETTE - The small yet functional kitchenette offers fridge with freezer compartment, ceramic hob, combi microwave oven and stainless steel sink. It is well equipped for preparing light meals and includes smart Dualit toaster and kettle.
LIVING/DINING AREA - The airy living area has a large corner sofa, cabinet with flat screen TV and iPod docking station, shelving, side table and colourful rug. A dining table with four chairs is ideal for light meals with a convenient unit accommodating kitchen accessories. French doors open onto the balcony and have blackout blinds.
BALCONY - This west facing balcony, part walled for privacy, has a bistro style table with two chairs, providing the ideal spot for relaxing and soaking up the holiday atmosphere of the café’s front garden below with views of the popular Meare and iconic House in the Clouds beyond.
SLEEPING AREA - A partition wall, with circulating space around it, conveniently separates the sleeping area from the living/dining area. With double aspect windows looking south over the car park and west onto the Meare, there is a king size bed, bed side tables with lamps, desk and stool, fitted shelving and walk-in wardrobe.
OUTSIDE - The apartment has a private balcony with exceptional views as well as a dedicated car parking space in the adjoining car park and spaces for bicycle parking in and around the building. There is a communal laundry room fitted with a washing machine and tumble dryer.
All prices include 100% cotton bed linen, towels, heating and electricity plus a welcome bottle of wine and biscuits to help you get your break off to a relaxing start.
Regatta has a flat screen TV with Freesat, WiFi, DVD player and iPod dock in the living area.
A travel cot and high chair are available on request upon booking.
Thorpeness is about 1½ miles along the beach from Aldeburgh and is a charming holiday village designed by the Scottish playwright and barrister Glencairn Stuart Ogilvie a century ago. He decided to create an idyllic model seaside village, inspired by the writings of J M Barrie, author of Peter Pan. The village has a Meare (local for lake) and its several miles of shallow water can be explored in the summer time by rowing boat.
Regatta is conveniently located next to the Café/Restaurant with front garden, a large Collectors and Antique Emporium and the beach is some 50 yards away. Thorpeness also has a well stocked village store, Meare-side shop and cafe, popular Dolphin Inn and a golf and country club. The area is ideal for cycling or walking along the coast and inland.

Children are welcome if sleeping in a cot and a small, well-behaved dog is accepted but must be mentioned at the time of booking on the booking form and is subject to our conditions of booking. This property is strictly a one dog only policy.
