You're welcomed into Old Oak and Goat Willow through the large glass doors into the communal living space which is the social hub of this fabulous property. To the right of the living space is Old Oak with a kitchen/living area, a ground floor bedroom, and a large master bedroom with a family bathroom. To the left of the living space is Goat Willow also with kitchen and living space downstairs. Upstairs in Goat Willow you have another two bedrooms and another family bathroom.
There are two paved courtyard areas with the barn and a lawn to the Goat Willow side of the barn. Guests are welcome to run and play on the meadow opposite which has a variety of swings and a trampoline. There is a communal games room just beyond the meadow with pool tables, table tennis, and table football. If your group would like to practice yoga, there is a yoga suite above the games room for use by arrangement with the owners of Potash Barns.
Communal Living and Dining Area
Enter the centre of the barn with it's magnificent 40ft beamed ceiling. This is a fabulous space for dining in large groups and sitting around the huge wood burner with a glass or two of wine! There is an extensive selection of puzzles, games, books and DVD's for your entertainment and it's a great space for guests to socialise share fond memories.
Through a doorway to the right-hand side of the large communal living space, in the West Wing, is Old Oak. With a kitchen and living area, ground floor bedroom, and a master suite with a family bathroom upstairs. Smooth terracotta tiles run throughout the kitchen, living space and bathroom changing to solid elm floorboards in the bedrooms.
Kitchen / Living Room
You'll find everything you need in this bespoke hand made wooden kitchen which is beautifully in keeping with the character of the barn. There's a seven ring gas stove with two ovens, a grill and extractor over, an under counter fridge and separate four drawer freezer, a full-size dishwasher, countertop microwave and a double butlers sink with mixer tap.
This super sociable space has a living area beyond the kitchen and double glass doors leading to the first of the paved patio areas. Two armchairs and a two-seater sofa offer comfort beside the wood burner during cooler times of the year and there's a flat-screen TV.
Ground Floor Bedroom
A doorway from the living area leads to a very useful ground floor bedroom which has a small double bed and a single bed. There are two full-length windows offering plenty of natural light and a useful hand basin. Storage options in this bedroom include a single wardrobe and a chest of drawers.

A magical bedroom with a wall of windows and a half glazed ceiling above, what better way to gaze at the undisturbed Suffolk night sky. The beds in this room can be arranged as a super king or twin beds and there's a large wardrobe and chest of drawers for your belongings. Set in an alcove behind the bed is a shower cubicle. There are curtains on the windows and blinds on the glazed ceiling.
A well-proportioned room with claw-footed roll top bath, WC, and basin. A Velux window offers natural light and ventilation.
To the left (eastern side) of the spacious communal living area is Goat Willow with another kitchen/snug area, two bedrooms and a family bathroom.
Enter into the kitchen which has another bespoke handmade wooden kitchen with seven ring gas stove with extractor, two ovens and a grill. In this kitchen you also have a double butlers sink, a Miele dishwasher and a free-standing fridge with four drawer freezer beneath. A doorway leads to the sunny snug room which has another wood burner, a two seat sofa and flat screen TV. Double glass doors lead to another paved patio area and a path leads round to a small lawn.

A fantastic space for adults and children to use and enjoy. There are two pool tables, table-top football, and table tennis. Above the games room is a yoga suite which may be available for use by prior arrangement with the owners.
Parking for at least four cars can be found behind the games room and yoga suite at the top of the farmyard. There are two paved patio areas with picnic tables, a bbq, and a lawned area. Guests are welcome to enjoy the meadow opposite the barn which has swings and a trampoline with a net around. The owners have goats, chickens, ducks and geese which guests can see with the owners present.
All prices for this countryside holiday cottage include 100% cotton bed linen, towels, heating and electricity.
Old Oak and Goat Willow provide flat screen televisions and DVD players in the living room and snug. Both kitchens have seven ring gas hob stoves with two ovens and a grill. Both kitchens have full size dishwashers and counter top microwaves. The Old Oak kitchen has under counter fridge and freezer, the Goat Willow kitchen has a freestanding fridge with freezer beneath. Wireless internet is available.
Wood burners will be laid for your arrival and wood can be purchased from the property owners.
A further truckle bed is available for use in the master bedroom in Old Oak for which there is an extra charge of £15.
A travel cot and high chair are available on request at time of booking.

The games room is a communal space for guests of Old Oak and Goat Willow and also The Cartlodge which is located at Potash Farm also.

If the youngsters in the group enjoy crabbing, a visit to Walberswick must be on the list. Only a 30 minute drive and with miles of sandy beach, shops and cafes Walberswick offers a great day out.
The coastal town of Southwold is also only 30 minutes drive and offers great traditional Suffolk pubs, the full range of Adnams ales and fantastic food. The sandy beach, busy pier with cafe and games is a super day out for all the family.
